Prices online?

I had an enquiry today from a lovely young lady on the phone today who enquired about my prices asking why they were so low and if I planned to increase them anytime soon.

Well incase anyone else thought about this here is what I told her: I'm very customer focused and I decided very early on that my prices should always be visble online without having to make an enquiry. I intend to keep things that way. As for my prices, they are set as they are to be competitive but not compromising in quality. The prices will slightly increase in the later half of this year but not my much. A rough example would be an increase on average of £75-£100 per package but that is yet to be confirmed.

I hope this little entry answers some of the many questions out there.

New samples albums arrived today which I am very happy with and the online album for Donald & Heather has now been created. Weather isn't looking to great next weekend but should hopefully remain dry for most of the day.

Updates to be done for the main index page on the site to access the online galleries & the previews to be updated with some more images.

Meetings & Fernie Castle

Today's meetings were very successful and everything is set for Fernie Castle next week. My new albums get delivered this week and I have now changed my photolab to a company based in Manchester who are excellent.

Google Ranking

How does it work? I have asked myself this several times and I have had numerous companies offering to get me on page one of google all the time.

So, I thought I would give it a go. Et Voila it seems to work, I have only done this on searching google with a search string of Wedding Photographer Angus and everytime it seems to appear 4th or 5th on page one. Seems to disappear after a few days so looking to change the site coding more frequently.

Feeling much better today and my headaches have gone and after all this time I'm finally VAT registered! Now I need to look into why I did it again hehe.

New Gallery Beta 1

Well after a day of having the worst headache in the world I have decided to put the new previews on the site and I have made them live. These can be viewed by clicking here

Waiting on some new album samples arriving any day now to offer my customers. They look very good and are well worth their price for the finishing options alone!

2008 Diary Well Under Way

As always it's always a pleasure to photograph someone's wedding and this was no different this weekend. Kim & Mike congratulations to you both and what a lovely day it was from start to finish. Have a great honeymoon and I hope you love your pictures, it was a fantastic day and I hope we made it as fun as we could for you and your guests!

On a general note, if anyone is thinking of booking me as their photographer for this year or next please please do so soon as my diary is filling up quickly and I would hate for you to be disappointed!

I have a really busy week next week including four meetings, two of which I still need to schedule. I also need to try and update the previews on the main site so bear with me on that. In the short term I will put some up to date pictures whilst I redesign the site. Here are some pictures to have a look at meantime.

Back to normality?

Well that's me back to some form of reality. Yesterday was a very busy day at the wedding fair in Dundee. I was there offering some help to a fellow photographer and it turned out to be a very successfull and fruitfull day, a huge thankyou to all thoses who made enquiries and paid a visit, you'll here from us shortly!

To all those thinking of booking your wedding photographer this year move quickly as I know alot of the photographers locally are already full of bookings.

That's enough from me for now.

Well for those who haven't met me, here is a recent picture. Thought I should give you a backround and a bit more info on me. I am 26 years old this year and I have been running my own business for a year now. Although my business is new I have been involved in photography for many years now. I began as a social photographer in my spare time which lead to me working with a local photographer for over a year. He and I still have a very close working relationship and often work together. I made the plunge last year into my own business and have never looked back!

Well as you can see February updates are done for the site. More changes are afoot later when I can spare the time on the preview images but this requires some major code changes which will likely be time consuming. Well think that's about it for just now.
